5.2 Be responsible stewards of the public’s resources
5.3 Ensure effective and efficient delivery of County services and support

Summary:

This action allows for the sale of County-owned real property located at 11323 74th Avenue North, Seminole, Florida.  This property is no longer needed to support a Utilities Water Revenue purpose.

Background Information:

The property was initially purchased in 1958 to support the Utilities water distribution system.  Improved potable water distribution technology made the on-site infrastructure obsolete, hence, the infrastructure was decommissioned in 2012.

An appraisal of the property estimates the market value at $650,000.00. In accordance with the Board-approved Real Estate Procedures, County departments were queried regarding a need for the property.  No county purpose exists for this property.

Fiscal Impact:

Projected revenue - $650,000.00 to be deposited in the Utilities Water Revenue and Operating Fund. Revenue from the sale of this land was not included in the Fiscal Year 2018 Adopted Budget.
