Sitting as the Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Authority, approve the following appointment to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (EMSAC) for a partial term ending in September 2018:

- Mayor Woody Brown as a Pinellas County Mayors’ Council representative

Summary:

Mayor Brown has been nominated by the Pinellas County Mayors’ Council to fill the remainder of the term vacated by former Mayor Palladeno.

 

Background Information:

The Council was created by Chapter 80-585, Laws of Florida, and is made up of 24 members that constitute a broad spectrum of county representation. Of the 24, four (4) members are selected by the Pinellas County Mayors’ Council pending ratification by the EMSA. It is the responsibility of EMSAC to fulfill the objectives outlined in the bylaws under Article II, Section 2.1.
