Summary:
Defendant JWD Automotive, Inc. sent facsimile transmissions of unsolicited advertisements to the Class, which includes Pinellas County, between October 2014 and January 2015, in violation of the Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005, 74 USC § 227.
Pursuant to the Order approving settlement, members of the Class will receive $500.00 per facsimile transmission, subject to availability of settlement proceed funds. Board authorization will allow the County Attorney to submit a claim to receive a portion of the settlement funds designated for members of the Class in this lawsuit.
