Summary:

This agreement permits the use of County owned property to Municipal Partners for the purpose of accessing and maintaining a temporary debris storage site, a site for the monitoring of the temporary debris storage, as well as staging and reduction of debris generated by Hurricane Irma.

 

Background/Explanation:

In an effort to provide temporary storage locations for collection of curbside hurricane debris pickup and to comply with FEMA guidelines for the collection, temporary storage, and reduction of storm related debris, Municipal Partners have requested the use of designated County sites.  The County properties identified for Municipal Partner use, if needed, are as follows:  
                     Toytown property - shared use by County and the City of St. Petersburg
                     Sod Farm - shared use by County and Municipal Partners as needed
                     Coop Extension (119th) - shared use by County and Municipal Partners as needed

This agreement is for a one (1) year term, commencing on September 18, 2017, with the option to renew for an additional sixty (60) days.

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(1).
