Summary:
The First Amendment is necessary to express the commencement date of services as July 1, 2017 instead of the date expressed in the Agreement (June 6, 2017). This Amendment has no impact on any other aspect of the Agreement; all provisions and conditions of the original agreement are in force.
Background/Explanation:
This contract is for the initial billing of emergency ambulance transportation claims for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Authority; it was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 6, 2017.
EMS currently fulfills these requirements through a contract that expires June 30, 2017.
Fiscal Impact:
The original approved sixty (60) month not to exceed expenditure is $3,538,447.00.
Funding is derived from Ambulance User Fee Revenue.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to approve and execute this amendment is granted under Section 2-62(a)(2).
