Approve the award of bid and execute an agreement with Suncoast Development of Pinellas County, Inc. for the Intersection Improvement Project on 102nd Avenue North at 113th Street.
Bid no. 167-0147-CP(DF); PID no. 001896A; in the amount of $922,969.18 on the basis of being the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting specifications. All work is to be completed within three hundred sixty (360) consecutive calendar days.

Summary:
This project will construct intersection improvements at 102nd Avenue North and 113th Street and additional roadway improvements on 102nd Avenue at 118th and 119th Streets. Roadway and intersection improvements will include milling, pavement resurfacing, roadway widening including asphalt pavement with base, curbing, installation of advanced traffic signalization, and the addition of a turn lane at 118th and 119th Streets. Work will also include storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main adjustments.
Background Information:
These improvements are intended to improve safety and access to this section of roadway. The intersection of 113th Street will have improved traffic and pedestrian flow through the intersection. Along 102nd Avenue between 118th Street and 119th Street, east-west left turn lanes will be constructed to improve access to the subdivisions north of 102nd Avenue.
Fiscal Impact:
Total expenditure not to exceed: $922,969.18
Funding is derived from the Infrastructure Sales Tax (Penny for Pinellas): Transportation and Traffic Flow, Intersection Improvements Projects allocation.
