Summary:

The scope of this project is for the planned roof section replacement for the 315 Court Street building.  The roof section covers the courtrooms, judge’s chambers, bailiff’s area, and parking garage.  This roof section is deteriorating and has reached the end of its life cycle.

Background Information:

The roof over the judicial wing and parking garage at 315 Court Street is due for replacement. A significant amount of moisture has intruded through the roof and accumulated beneath the surface. Sample roof test cuts were taken, and they showed that the roof insulation is saturated in many areas.  The roof system for this section has been pushed out as far as possible and must be removed and replaced to protect the building infrastructure.

The work will be performed after normal business hours to minimize disruption of County business.  All work is expected to be completed within one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days.  The new roof is specified to last a minimum of twenty (20) years.
