Summary:

This action will grant status to Creative Pinellas to receive donation of surplus County personal property. This action benefits the County by providing in-kind support to the Local Arts Agency, a not-for-profit, with a mission to promote arts in the community.

 

Background Information:

The Board, per Florida State Statutes Section 274.05, is authorized to donate surplus property.  As a potential recipient, Creative Pinellas will be provided notice of available surplus property and will be afforded opportunity to acquire surplus items by donation, prior to advertisement of the items for sale.

In addition to the attached list of Social Action Non-Profit Agencies, the following entities are provided advanced notification of County surplus personal property: Suwannee County, Juvenile Welfare Board, Pinellas County School Board, Palm Harbor Community Services Association (PHCSA), Vincent House, and Florida Dream Center.
