Summary:
This contract is for requirements of Badger water meter parts and backflow prevention parts for the Utilities Department Maintenance Division.
Contract pricing is based on fixed group discounts from the most current manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) list and contains $12,500.00 in unspecified services. The contract has a provision for price adjustments based on the MSRP once per year prior to the contract anniversary date; the percentage of discount remains fixed.
Background/Explanation:
On August 22, 2016, the Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Utilities Department Maintenance Division, released an invitation to bid (ITB) with the intent to establish a contract for Badger water meter parts and backflow prevention parts. The two (2) groups were re-bid from a prior solicitation that received no response for Group 1 and incorrect bid specifications for Group 2.

Estimated sixty (60) month expenditure not to exceed: $999,353.43
Estimated annual expenditure not to exceed: $199,870.69
Funding is derived from the Utilities Enterprise Operating budget.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to award this bid is granted under Code Section 2-176 (f).
