The adoption of the assessment roll is an annual requirement that will allow funds to be collected by the uniform method of collection to pay for the costs of collection and disposal services as well as administrative costs of the District. The assessment roll is for the period January 1 through December 31, 2016. Pursuant to Florida Statute 197.3632(5), a public hearing is not required for multi-year assessments.

Funds collected will pay for costs incurred from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017.

Background Information:

The Lealman Solid Waste Collection and Disposal District was created in order to provide uniform residential solid waste collection and disposal services within the District beginning January 1, 2006.

The assessment is based on a residential unit basis. Each parcel with the District this year will be assessed an amount equal to $16.00 per residential unit on the parcel per month ($192.00 annually per residential unit).

Fiscal Impact:

This assessment will provide all revenue necessary to pay for collection and disposal services within the District, as well as all administrative costs associated therein, without impact on the General Fund.
