Summary:
Pursuant to the lnterlocal Agreement, CareerSource has prepared and submitted its annual budget for Board of County Commissioners’ approval. The lnterlocal Agreement between Pinellas County and CareerSource specifies that as the Chief Elected Official under the Workforce Investment Act, the Board shall "exercise approval authority, which will not be unreasonably withheld over the budget adopted by CareerSource."
Background Information:
On May 4th, 2016, the CareerSource Executive Committee approved its PY 2016-2017 Budget Plan. Hearing no objections from the May 4th Consent Agenda, the budget was approved.
Fiscal Impact:
CareerSource is fully funded by state and federal grants.
