Summary:
Change order no. 2 exercises the first and final term extension for three hundred sixty five (365) consecutive calendar days, from July 23, 2016 to July 22, 2017. All unit prices, terms and conditions remain the same as awarded. As the upset limit of the extension period was not expressed in the original agreement, this extension requires Board of County Commissioner (Board) approval.
Background Information:
The Board awarded this contract on May 20, 2014 and subsequently approved change order no. 1 on September 10, 2015.
The purpose of this contract is to rehabilitate stormwater pipe utilizing cured in place pipelining at various locations throughout the County. Work is issued on a work order basis and is initiated as required. The requested amount for the extension period is based on known anticipated work required through the end of the agreement term.
Fiscal Impact:
Original estimated total expenditure not to exceed: $1,386,337.61
Increase due to change order no. 1: $ 468,002.03
Increase due to change order no. 2: $ 800,000.00
Revised estimated total expenditure: $2,654,339.64
