Adopt the resolution outlining the purpose and mission of the Pinellas County Historical Commission (Commission) and supporting its continued service.

Summary:

The resolution establishes the guidelines for appointment to the Commission, the meeting frequency and outlines the role of the Commission in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) and the County Administrator regarding policy and procedures and maintenance and improvements for Heritage Village.

 

Background Information:

The Board has adopted resolutions in the past that have outlined the role of the Commission.  This resolution repeals Resolutions No. 00-214, 94-43, 93-332, 89-520, 82-600 and any other County resolutions in conflict with this proposed resolution.
