Approval of the second amendment to the purchase authorization and agreement with Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. for federal legislative consultant services.

Contract No. 134-0216-PB, in the amount of $95,000.00.  Services are effective through December 31, 2017.  Chairman to sign and Clerk of Court to attest.

Summary:

This contract provides the County with comprehensive federal legislative and executive branch strategic advice, liaison services and advocacy for legislation consistent with Pinellas County’s legislative program.

The current agreement will expire February 27, 2016.  This amendment will extend the contract expiration to February 27, 2017.

 

Background Information:

This purchase authorization and agreement for federal legislative consultant services was originally approved by the Director of Purchasing on February 28, 2014, and amended on January 13, 2015 by the Board of County Commissioners (Board).  The first amendment modified the original agreement by extending the term of the agreement for an additional twelve month (12) period and revising the agreement’s scope of work to require Van Scoyoc Associates, Inc. to furnish written memoranda of meetings held or attended on behalf of Pinellas County, a year-end report to the Board on the status of its legislative program and a governmental relations plan with timeline and milestones.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Estimated annual expenditure not to exceed:                                          $95,000.00

 

Funding is derived from the General Fund, Countywide Support Services - Intergovernmental Program.
