Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the purchase authorization and execution of the participation addenda with DLT Solutions, LLC (DLT), as requested by the Business Technology Services (BTS) department for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Solution services.
• This purchase authorization provides an on-demand cloud computing platform in support of BTS and customer funded initiatives.
• The purchase authorization also provides a mechanism for BTS to provide a disaster recovery environment in the AWS cloud and utilize AWS backup tools and services.
• Pricing and scope of services is per State of Florida Contract No. 43230000-NASPO-16-ACS.
• In 2018, BTS entered into a similar agreement with DLT Solutions, LLC to provide these same services. This purchase authorization is the replacement.
Contract No. 21-0154-S(SB) in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,550,000.00 through September 30, 2026 with an estimated average annual expenditure of $310,000.00Body

Summary:
This purchase authorization will provide BTS a mechanism to continue to build and support a disaster recovery environment in the AWS cloud and utilize AWS backup tools and services for business continuity. Pricing is per State of Florida Contract No. 432300- NASPO-16-ACS effective through September 30, 2026.
Background/Explanation:
The State of Utah, acting by and through the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint, competitively procured and awarded a Request for Proposal resulting in Master Agreement No. AR2480. The State of Florida, through participating addenda has adopted the contract providing state agencies and political subdivisions the opportunity to access Cloud Solutions Services per State of Florida Contract No. 43230000-NASPO-16-ACS, effective through September 30, 2026.
In 2018, BTS entered into a similar agreement with DLT Solutions, LLC to provide these same services.
Fiscal Impact:
Estimated average annual expenditure of $310,000.00
Funding is derived from the BTS Infrastructure Operating Budget and is included in the FY21 Adopted Budget.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to approve this purchase authorization is granted under Code Section 2-185(a).
