Body
Strategic Plan:
Foster Continual Economic Growth and Vitality
4.4 Invest in infrastructure to meet current and future needs.
Summary:
Walbridge was selected through a competitive process to complete a contract started by another contractor who is in default. Review of existing conditions, coordination conflicts between the inherited “as built” conditions and the current set of drawings has impacted the project schedule. Specifically the internal secondary gutter and utilities were installed out of sequence and an access panel placement requires relocation in a restroom. These impacts shift the final completion date extending the project by one hundred eight (108) consecutive calendar days.
Background/Explanation:
The Board of County Commissioners awarded the contract on March 20, 2018. The County Administrator approved the First Amendment on April 27, 2018 to correct the contract term.
Fiscal Impact:
This change order has no fiscal impact pertaining to this contract.
Total approved expenditure not to exceed: $8,458,000.00
