Approval and execution by the County Administrator of Construction Change Order No. 1 - Exercise Term Extension to Suncoast Development of Pinellas County, Inc, for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-2026 Countywide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), sidewalk, drainage, and roadway improvements.

 

                     This contract is for the FY24-FY26 Countywide ADA, sidewalk, drainage, and roadway improvements work order contract consisting of ramp and sidewalk construction, curb and gutter repair or replacement, storm sewer and structure top repairs or installations, minor grading and sodding, concrete and asphalt driveway construction and spot asphalt pavement resurfacing and patching.

                     This term extension exercises an additional year and $8,264,150.00 as approved in the original contract award.

                     The County Administrator has authority under Code Section 2-62(a)(12) and 2-188(d) to exercise term extensions included in the original contract awarded by the Board.

                     Funding is determined by the individual work order assignment sourced to the agreement, and actual expenditures are contingent upon work completed.

                     Work orders will primarily be funded by the Capital Projects Fund and Transportation Milage Fund, under program projects Road Resurfacing & Rehabilitation PIV 004192A (Penny Funded) and Transportation Millage Capital Resurfacing Program (transportation millage funded) 005700A.

 

Contract 23-1224-ITB-C - Construction Change Order No. 1 - Exercise Term Extension, for an additional year and $8,264,150.00, for a new total not to exceed amount of $18,594,338.00. The new contract completion date is August 21, 2026.

Background Information:

This is a work order contract comprised of different types of projects. Pavement preparation projects consist of sidewalk and driveway repair, ADA ramp and upgrades, curb repair, storm structure and pipe repair and/or replacement.

Also included is removal and replacement of CMP pipes along with structure upgrades. These work orders include the necessary restoration to complete the work.

Finally, structure top replacements and repairs that consist of removing and replacing of structure tops, and if required, throats and sides along with related upgrades to curbs, sidewalks, and driveways.
