Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment exercising a term extension to the Agreement with Brenntag Mid-South, Inc. for liquid chlorine one-ton cylinders.

 

                     The contract provides liquid chlorine one-ton cylinders.

                     This Second Amendment exercises a twelve (12) month term extension for $800,000.00 resulting in a revised total not to exceed expenditure of $4,442,000.00.

                     The County Administrator has delegated authority to approve term extensions included in the original Board award, per code section 2-188(D).

                     On September 19, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved this contract in the amount of $1,792,000.00 for a twelve (12) month term. On June 14, 2024, the County Administrator approved the First Amendment to the Agreement, effective September 18, 2024, which exercised a twelve (12) month term extension and increased the total not to exceed expenditure by $1,850,000.00 for a new total not to exceed expenditure of $3,642,000.00.

                     This request is budgeted for in the FY25 Budget of PCU and Solid Waste in the Solid Waste Revenue and Operating Fund and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund.

                     Future funding will be dependent on the adoption of the annual County Budget starting in FY26.

Second Amendment to exercise a twelve (12) month term extension and increase the total not to exceed expenditure by $800,000.00, for a new total expenditure not to exceed $4,442,000.00.

 

Background Information:

On September 19, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved this contract in the amount of $1,792,000.00 for a twelve (12) month term. On June 14, 2024, the County Administrator approved the First Amendment to the Agreement, effective September 18, 2024, which exercised a twelve (12) month term extension and increased the total not to exceed expenditure by $1,850,000.00 for a new total not to exceed expenditure of $3,642,000.00.
