The City is providing $100,000.00 of the funding needed for this project.

Summary:
This interlocal funding agreement provides $100,000.00 in project funding for the replacement of a pedestrian bridge and approximately 500 linear feet of trail approaching both sides of the bridge at Alligator Creek.
Background/Explanation:
County staff has just completed the 15% design phase for the Ream Wilson/Pinellas Trail Improvements project, and anticipates construction activities beginning by July 2018, pending the successful completion of environmental permitting activities.
Construction improvements will provide connectivity to the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) sidewalk project on NE Coachman Road (SR 590), and provide trail connectivity to the Duke Energy and Ream Wilson Trail segments as part of the Pinellas trail loop.
Fiscal Impact:
The County and the City are contributing funding for design and construction of the Ream Wilson/Pinellas Trail Improvements at Old Coachman Road project. The City will be responsible for any future capital needs as it pertains to the portions of trail within this project. The total estimated cost for project design and construction is $437,119, of which the County will provide $337,119, and the City will provide $100,000.00. This project is included in the FY18-27 Capital Improvement Plan with County funding derived from the Penny for Pinellas (Infrastructure Sales Surtax).
