Summary:
Change order no. 1 adds pay items on an hourly basis for grit removal services of less than fifty (50) dry tons. The original contract contained pricing by occurrence only ($850) regardless of the amount of removal required. The revised hourly rates provide for grit removal services at locations producing a low tonnage, providing for greater equity for both FCS and the County.
The revised hourly rates are:
$250.00 for grit removal services less than 50 dry tons
$250.00 for an additional truck/operator
$85.00 for additional operators as required
Background/Explanation:
The Board of County Commissioners (Board) awarded this contract on July 19, 2016.
Fiscal Impact:
This change order requires no adjustment to contract funding as awarded by the Board; sufficient funds currently exist to provide the revised services.
Approved sixty (60) month expenditure: $1,812,500.00
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to approve this change order is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(2).
