Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the First Amendment exercising a term extension to the Agreement with Polydyne, Inc. for Methanol and Glycerin 70%.
• This contract provides Methanol and Glycerin 70% for Pinellas County Utilities (PCU) for the purpose of denitrification in wastewater treatment
• This First Amendment exercises a sole, twenty-four (24) month term extension for $1,200,000.00 resulting in a revised total not to exceed expenditure of $4,325,250.00 and an annual not to exceed expenditure of $720,875.00.
• Per County Code 2-188(d) and 2-62(a)(12), the County Administrator has the authority to exercise contract term extensions that were originally approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
• On July 13, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved this contract in the amount of $3,125,250.00 for a sixty (60) month term.
• This request is budgeted for in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget of PCU in the Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund. In the event that future fiscal year funding is not available for this agreement, the County maintains the authority to terminate this agreement.
Contract No. 21-0219-B-BW increase in the amount of $1,200,000.00 for a revised total not to exceed expenditure of $4,325,250.00, effective through July 12, 2028.
