Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 26-09, a proposal by the Town of Redington Shores to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Retail & Services to Residential Low Medium, regarding 0.13 acres more or less, located at 109 180th Avenue East.

The Town approved a local Future Land Use Map amendment from Commercial General to Residential Low Medium through Ordinance No. 25-09.

The subject property is located within an established waterfront residential neighborhood and historically contained a non-conforming single-family residence constructed in approximately 1967. The site is currently vacant following the demolition of the prior home.

The proposed amendment would permit redevelopment of the property with a new single-family residence compatible with the surrounding neighborhood. The surrounding area consists primarily of single-family residential uses, with limited commercial properties near Gulf Boulevard.

Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each unanimously recommended approval of the proposal.
