Change Order 1 Final to TLC Diversified, Inc. (TLC) for the pump station generator improvement project (PID No. 003762A).

 

                     This project consisted of providing either a generator or diesel by-pass pump at multiple sanitary sewer pump stations throughout the County to ensure pump stations operate in the event of power loss.

                     This project was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on April 7, 2020 in the amount of $3,978,777.00 and the project was substantially complete on April 30, 2024, and obtained final completion on August 19, 2024.

                     Change Order 1 Final extends the agreement by 435 consecutive calendar days to complete all locations and decreases the total not to exceed amount by ($687.32).

                     Funding for this contract was available under Pump Station Generator Improvements Project 003762A, included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Sewer Renewal and Replacement Fund.

Summary:

Summary

The project was substantially complete on April 30, 2024, and obtained final completion on August 19, 2024. Final inspections of the project for all work performed under the contract were conducted by representatives of County Utilities Operations and Engineering Divisions. All work has been completed in accordance with the construction contract documents. The additional contract time has been added for completion off all work orders in the contract, time between substantial and final completion, punch list items, project acceptance, final project deliverables, final quantity of materials audit, resolution of claims and disputes, and receipt of final invoice.

Final quantities have been tabulated resulting in a net decrease of ($687.32). This is the difference between estimated and final quantities.

Background Information:

This project furnished and installed pumps or generators, valves, fittings, electrical equipment, panels, conduits, and other incidental work required to construct a back-up system for running pump stations in the event of power losses.

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to execute this Change Order No.1 is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(3).
