Approval of the Second Amendment to the agreements with March Marine Construction Company and In Depth Incorporated for the Installation and Maintenance of Marine Pilings, Florida Uniform Waterway Markers, and Navigational Buoys.

 

                     This contract provides for removal of old pilings, installation of new pilings, signage, regulatory buoys, and large navigation buoys within the waters of Pinellas County, on an as needed basis.

                     These services assist the Public Works Department, Division of Environmental Management in maintaining the large navigational buoys of Hurricane Pass Channel and over 40 boating regulatory zones from Anclote River to Fort Desoto Park and from the Gulf Beaches to the lower outflow canal of Lake Tarpon.

                     This Second Amendment exercises the first of two 24-month term extensions and increases the total contract in the amount of $515,783.99 for a revised total not to exceed the contract amount of $858,487.98.

                     Funding for this contract is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Adopted Budget and FY26 Budget Request of the Public Works Department General Fund Budget. The agreement includes the appropriate termination clauses should funding not be available in future years.

 

Contract No. 23-0670-ITB; increase in the amount of $515,783.99 for a revised total contract amount of $858,487.98, effective for an additional 24-month period from July 19, 2025, to July 19, 2027.

Background Information:

This contract was approved by the County Administrator on July 19, 2023, with award to two vendors: March Marine in the amount of $156,132.43 and In Depth, Inc. in the amount of $64,001.57, for a combined total contract value of $220,133.99. On January 19, 2024, the County Administrator approved the first amendment with In Depth which increased the contract in the amount of $72,570.00. On October 28, 2024, the County Administrator approved the first amendment with March Marine which increased the contract in the amount of $50,000.00.
