Award of bid to EOLA Power, LLC for Traffic Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), batteries, traffic, and solar flashers.
• This contract provides for the purchase of UPS batteries used for backup power at signalized traffic intersections and solar flasher locations during outages and prevents power disruptions for continuous control of traffic flow.
• These batteries and traffic solar flashers will be used for all County signal locations, including locations within municipal boundaries where the County maintains the signals.
• Three bids received with award recommendation to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, EOLA Power, LLC.
• This contract is effective for a 12-month period with a total not to exceed the amount of $253,945.60.
• Funding for this award is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Adopted Budget and the FY25 requested budget of the Public Works Department in the Transportation Trust Fund.
Contract No. 24-0161-ITB in the total not to exceed the amount of $253,945.60, effective for a 12-month period; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Summary
This contract is for the purchase of UPS batteries for use in traffic intersections and at solar flasher locations to be ordered as and when required. The new batteries will replace non-functioning batteries in the UPS traffic controller cabinets and solar flasher units.
This contract is effective for a twelve (12) month period with a total not to exceed of $253,945.60. This contract will allow four (4), twelve (12) month extensions and price adjustments (decrease/increase) in an amount not to exceed the average of the Producer Price Index (CPI) or 8%, whichever is less.

On March 14, 2024, the Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Public Works Department, released an invitation for bid (ITB) for Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) Batteries, Traffic and Solar Flares. Two bids were received with award recommendation to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, EOLA Power, LLC.
