Summary:

Background Information:

The County has an ongoing pavement condition assessment and rehabilitation program for approximately 1,100 centerline miles of roadways. The condition of the County’s roadway network is evaluated annually using the Army Corps of Engineer’s PAVER 7.0 Pavement Management System.

The PAVER system provides a pavement condition index (PCI) that Public Works utilizes to establish annual priorities for the pavement preservation program. This list of projects is evaluated and prioritized by staff using the PCI for roadway and field assessments. These priorities are then formalized and issued to the contractor as individual work orders for construction. Individual work orders consist of milling, resurfacing, and application of pavement markings along prioritized arterial, collector, and local roadways throughout the County.

Fiscal Impact:

Expenditure not to exceed: $17,745,968.30
