Approval of an agreement between WorkNet Pinellas, Inc. d/b/a CareerSource Pinellas (Subrecipient) and Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO).
• DEO will provide funds in consideration for the Subrecipient’s satisfactory performance under this agreement.
• This agreement is contingent upon an annual appropriation by the Legislature of the State of Florida.
• DEO will make funding available to the Subrecipient by issuing Notices of Funding Availability through DEO’s financial management information system.

The Agreement Between WorkNet Pinellas, Inc. dba CareerSource Pinellas (Subrecipient) and Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for the period of May 15, 2021 through May 15, 2024 is presented for Board consideration and approval. Board approval is required prior to CSPIN submitting the Agreement to DEO.

Background Information:
This Agreement serves as a contract between the Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) and DEO and outlines each partner’s roles and responsibilities. The updated Agreement incorporates new provisions governing the workforce programs managed in the local areas and establishes the terms and conditions that LWDBs must agree to in order to receive federal and state workforce funds from DEO.
Fiscal Impact:
DEO may partially, completely, temporarily or permanently, reduce or suspend any funding provided under this Agreement or funding made available pursuant to an NFA, if the Subrecipient fails to comply with all applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, or the terms of this Agreement or any NFA.
