Approval and execution by the County Administrator of Change Order No.1 (final) to the agreement with Air Mechanical & Service Corp., for 23-1128-ITB-C Star Center Chiller 2 Replacement.
• The original item was approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on December 12, 2023, for the installation of a new energy efficient 900-ton water-cooled chiller #2 to replace a failed chiller in the central plant located in building 500 at the STAR Center.
• This item is for the final change order to the original agreement. The change order will decrease the original agreement amount of $977,540.00 by ($48,549.00) for a revised Agreement total of $928,991.00.
• This decrease comes as a result of unused project contingency.
• This reduction did not increase or reduce the overall project schedule.
• Funding is budgeted under the STAR Center Chiller #2 Replacement Project 004082A included in the Capital Improvement Plan funded by the STAR Center Fund.
Contract No. 23-1128-ITB-C decreasing the Agreement by ($48,549.00) for a revised Agreement total of $928,991.00.

Summary:
It was determined during construction only a partial amount of contingency had to be utilized. This resulted in a reduction to the total project amount contract price. This reduction did not increase or reduce the overall project schedule.
