Approval and execution by the County Administrator of Change Order No.1 (final) to the agreement with Air Mechanical & Service Corp., for 23-1128-ITB-C Star Center Chiller 2 Replacement.

 

                     The original item was approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on December 12, 2023, for the installation of a new energy efficient 900-ton water-cooled chiller #2 to replace a failed chiller in the central plant located in building 500 at the STAR Center.

                     This item is for the final change order to the original agreement. The change order will decrease the original agreement amount of $977,540.00 by ($48,549.00) for a revised Agreement total of $928,991.00.

                     This decrease comes as a result of unused project contingency.

                     This reduction did not increase or reduce the overall project schedule.

                     Funding is budgeted under the STAR Center Chiller #2 Replacement Project 004082A included in the Capital Improvement Plan funded by the STAR Center Fund.

 

Contract No. 23-1128-ITB-C decreasing the Agreement by ($48,549.00) for a revised Agreement total of $928,991.00.

Summary:

It was determined during construction only a partial amount of contingency had to be utilized. This resulted in a reduction to the total project amount contract price. This reduction did not increase or reduce the overall project schedule.
