Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the First Amendment with Smith Industries Inc. d/b/a Smith Fence Company for requirements of fencing, gate operators, and handrails.
• This First Amendment increases the contract expenditure in the amount of $250,000.00 due to increased contract usage to repair and replace fencing damaged by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This amendment also incorporates the FEMA provisions into the agreement.
• This contract was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on February 14, 2023, in the amount of $2,540,868.20 for thirty-six months.
• This Cooperative contract is facilitated and administered by the County; Cooperative participants include Cities of Dunedin, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, and Pinellas County School Board. Cooperative participants are responsible for their own funding in the amount of $7,539,823.00. However, all municipalities utilize this contract.
• Funding for this agreement is included in the Fiscal Year 2025 Operating Budget for CPM, Parks and Conservation Resources, and Department of Solid Waste in the General Fund and Solid Waste Revenue and Operating Fund.
Contact No. 23-0054-ITB increase in the amount of $250,000.00 for a County revised not to exceed amount of $2,790,868.20, revising the combined County and Cooperative not to exceed expenditure to $10,330,691.20 through February 13, 2026.
