Approval of the Fourth Amendment to the purchase authorization with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for public safety communication products, services, and solutions.
• This purchase authorization is for Motorola radio, equipment, accessories, and maintenance for various County departments as needed or required.
• This Fourth Amendment adds a new service in the amount of $167,320.00 allowing Text-to-Speech (TTS) Alerts to County Fire Stations; the upgrade to the CAD system converts TTS and will read the address and event type over the Fire Station Alerting System.
• Pricing is per State of Florida Contract No. 43190000-22-NASPO-ACS, effective through December 31, 2026.
• The original award was approved by the County Administrator on September 16, 2022, in the amount of $2,700,000.00. The First Amendment and Second Amendments were approved by the Purchasing Division Director for time-only extensions. The Third Amendment was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on April 23, 20224, to extend the contract to December 31, 2026, and increase by $3,000,000.00, for a not-to-exceed expenditure of $5,700,000.00.
• Funding of $167,320.00 is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Adopted Budget for Safety and Emergency Services Department within the Radio and 911 General Fund cost centers. Funding for future years is dependent on approval in the annual County Operating Budget.
Contract No. 22-0387-PB increase in the amount of $167,320.00 for a revised not to exceed amount of $5,867,320.00 effective through December 31, 2026.

Background/Explanation:
The original award was approved by the County Administrator on September 16, 2022, in the amount of $2,700,000.00. The First and Second Amendments were time-only, approved by the Division Director of Purchasing & Risk with no change to contract amount. The Third Amendment increased the contract with the addition of $3,000,000.00, for a contract expenditure of $5,700,000.00.
