Summary

The County Attorney’s Office is seeking authorization to file suit against F&H Electrical Contractors, Inc. (F&H) for damages sustained to County-owned underground facilities as a result of negligence on behalf of F&H.  Attempts to recoup the County’s economic losses pre-suit have been unsuccessful.

This action is the result of an incident on or about January 8, 2021, where F&H responded to a request for emergency repair in St. Pete Beach.  In making repairs, F&H negligently struck a County-owned reclaimed water main line necessitating the County to undertake repairs in excess of $100,000.00.

This authorization includes bringing suit against all defendants and for all claims that may be or become necessary to fully litigate this action.
