Approval of the award of bid to Erickson & Lindstrom Construction Co. (E&L) for the Mid-County Tax Collector Building interior renovation project.
• This project is a complete interior renovation of the Mid-County Tax Collector building, to include renovations to the interior architecture, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Three bids were submitted, with E&L as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for a total not to exceed amount of $2,846,008.00, with all work to be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
• The Small Business Enterprise commitment is 15% for this contract.
• This project 004142A Mid-County Tax Collector Building Acquisition and Renovation is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-FY29 Capital Improvement Program Six-Year Plan funded by the General Fund and Infrastructure Sales Surtax (Penny for Pinellas).
Contract No. 23-0753-ITB-C, in the not-to-exceed amount of $2,846,008.00; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

The project is a complete interior renovation of the Mid-County Tax Collector Building, to include renovations to the Interior Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing. The renovations will improve security for both citizens and county staff as well as to meet operational and updated technology needs.Body
Background Information:
On May 12, 2023, the Purchasing & Risk Division, on behalf of Construction Services, released an invitation to bid (ITB) for the above referenced contract. Three Bid submittals were received with E&L as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The tax collector requested renovation in 2017 and at that time the County was leasing the building from a private entity. As the renovations were being negotiated with the landlord in 2019, the landlord decided to sell the property. The County purchased the property in August of 2019 and planning for these renovations began in July of 2021.

Total expenditure not-to-exceed: $2,846,008.00
