Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to the purchase authorization/agreement with CBRE, Inc. for Development Advisory Services - downtown Clearwater and new headquarters facility.

 

                     This purchase authorization provides real estate advisory services in support of the disposition and redevelopment of County parcels in downtown Clearwater, and the development of a new headquarters campus.

                     This second amendment increases the agreement by $100,000.00 for a revised total of $2,666,000.00, providing for as-needed contingency funding for County-directed small engagements with subconsultants pertaining to campus advisory services.

                     This Agreement is based off the State of Florida, Department of Management Services for Tenant Broker & Real Estate Consulting Services; Contract # 12/13-007A. The County Administrator has authority in any amount to award contracts competitively procured by the State of Florida, per Code Section 2-185.

                     The original purchase authorization was approved by the County Administrator on February 5, 2024, in the amount of $1,569,000.00, effective for a five-year term. The County Administrator approved the first amendment on April 15, 2024, increasing the contract $997,000.00 providing for an organizational, business process, technology, and benchmark comparison of all departments.

                     Funding is budgeted under the Pinellas County Centralized Campus Project 004176A included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the General Fund at $48,432,460.00.

 

Contract No. 24-00026-PB increase in the amount of $100,000.00 for a revised not to exceed amount of $2,666,000.00.

The original purchase authorization was approved by the County Administrator on February 5, 2024, in the amount of $1,569,000.00, effective for a five-year term. The County Administrator approved the first amendment on April 15, 2024, increasing the contract $997,000.00 providing for an organizational, business process, technology, and benchmark comparison of all departments.

This Agreement is based off the competitively procured Contract # DMS-12/13-007A by the State of Florida, Department of Management Services for Tenant Broker & Real Estate Consulting Services.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding is budgeted under the Pinellas County Centralized Campus Project 004176A included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the General Fund at $48,432,460.00.

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this amendment is granted under Code Section 2-185.
