Approve an increase the upset limit to the agreement with United HealthCare Services, Inc. (UHC) for employee assistance and managed behavioral programs.

 

                     This agreement with UHC provides County employees and dependents with employee assistance and managed behavioral health benefits.

                     The request to increase the upset limit in the amount of $302,400.00 will fund claims through the end of the contract term, December 31, 2021; there has been an increase in mental health benefit utilization due to the pandemic.

                     The Board of County Commissioners awarded this contract in the amount of $1,105,980.00 on November 12, 2019. The First Amendment was approved by the County Administrator on July 21, 2020 revising the fee schedule with no fiscal impact.

Contract No. 178-0395-P(LN) increase in the amount of $302,400.00 for a revised contract value of $1,408,380.00 with an average annual expenditure of $704,190.00 through December 31, 2021.

The Board approved the original agreement on November 12, 2019 for a total amount of $1,105,980.00 with an effective date of January 1, 2020. The First Amendment was approved by the County Administrator on July 21, 2020 revising the fee schedule with no fiscal impact.
