Approval of the First Amendment to the purchase authorization with Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. for maintenance repair and operating services.

 

                     This request increases the upset limit by $1,300,000.00 to provide additional maintenance, repair, and operating services to County departments as needed or required with no obligation to spend in any fiscal year, for services such as:

o                     Windows, doors, insulation, and weather stripping.

o                     Interior/exterior painting and ADA improvements.

o                     Gutters, downspouts, and minor miscellaneous repairs.

                     Pricing is per Maricopa County, Arizona on behalf of OMNIA Partners, Public Sector Contract No. 16154-RFP, effective through December 31, 2026.

                     This purchase authorization was approved by the County Administrator on July 2, 2021, for an annual expenditure of $240,000.00.

                     This contract is used on an as-needed basis with no obligation to spend the full amount of the contract or to spend in any given year, with obligation occurring upon issuance of work order assignments (purchase orders). Funding is determined by the individual work order assignment sourced to the agreement, and actual expenditures are contingent upon work completed. Future-year funding is contingent on adopted budgets.

Summary

This purchase authorization provides a mechanism for multiple departments to make purchases of MRO supplies and services on an as needed basis. Ordering is to be performed via catalog or internet. This contract is heavily utilized during emergencies.

An annual rebate will be earned on net sales of qualifying purchases. This purchase authorization is effective through December 31, 2026.

Background Information:

The County has been participating in the Home Depot rebate program since December 11, 2011. The original agreement was approved by the County Administrator on July 2, 2021, for an annual expenditure of $240,000.00.  Pricing is per Maricopa County, Arizona on behalf of OMNIA Partners, Public Sector (OMNIA) Contract No. 16154-RFP, effective through December 31, 2026.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Original amount:                                                               $1,320,000.00

First Amendment:                                                               $1,300,000.00

Revised Agreement Amount:                     $2,620,000.00

 

Funding is provided through requesting departments’ operating funds on an as-needed basis.
