Summary:
This was an action arising from a dispute regarding an agreement Pinellas County entered into with Tampa Contracting Services, Inc. (TCS) to construct the Lake Seminole alum injection project.
On July 18, 2017, the Board approved the settlement agreement reached in mediation by all parties in this case. That settlement agreement provided that the parties would execute mutual releases and upon the execution of this release agreement, TCS will pay to the Board the sum of $25,000.00.
Background/Explanation:
The authority to proceed with the settlement of this matter was approved by the Board on July 18, 2017.
Fiscal Impact:
$25,000.00 in settlement funds will be deposited in the Capital Projects Fund. These funds were not anticipated during development of the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this release agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(1).
