Summary:
The purpose of this project is to upgrade Pump Station 190 which includes adding one additional submersible pump, new electrical system and controls, new emergency bypass pump and force main modifications to tie Pump Station 95's discharge force main into the Pump Station 190 wet well.
Background Information:
Pump Station 190 and Pump Station 95 currently manifold into a 12-inch force main along Miami Avenue, adjacent to Pump Station 190 and cross the intracoastal waterway through a 16-inch force main. Both pump stations experience significant infiltration and inflow during heavy storm events. During these events, Pump Station 95's pumps are pushed back on their curves and surcharge the Pump Station 95 sewer basin. This project will eliminate surcharging of the sewer system.
Fiscal Impact:
Expenditure not to exceed: $1,790,780.00
Project funding is derived from the Utilities Sanitary Sewer Enterprise Fund.
