The total cost to the County for the preliminary engineering services is $30,000.

Summary:
This agreement establishes the responsibilities between CSXT and the County for the necessary preliminary railroad engineering and/or design services required to facilitate the intersection widening within CSXT’s right-of-way on S.R. 590/NE Coachman Road at Old Coachman Road.
Background/Explanation:
Project activities to be performed by CSXT shall consist of: 1) the preparation, or review and approval of preliminary and final engineering and design plans, specifications, drawings, agreements and other documents pertaining to the project, 2) the preparation of cost estimates for CSXT's work in connection with the project, and 3) the review of construction cost estimates, site surveys, assessments, studies, agreements and related construction documents submitted to CSXT. The County will be responsible for the development of the engineering plans and specifications for the roadway reconstruction.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this agreement is budgeted in the County’s Capital Improvement Program. The source of funding is provided by the Infrastructure Sales Tax (Penny for Pinellas): Transportation and Traffic Flow, Intersection Improvements program allocation.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(1).
