Summary:
The Florida Small Business Center located at Economic Development will provide consulting services and business training for the purpose of supporting growing businesses that meet the definition of a “small business,” as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as individuals aspiring to small business ownership.
Background/Explanation:
Services to small businesses include business seminars and consulting as well as training related to business and strategic planning, government contracting, international market/exports, financing and access to capital, cash flow management, and business continuity/disaster assistance.
Fiscal Impact:
Revenue in the amount of $35,000 to be paid to the County by the City in equal quarterly installments. This revenue and associated expense was not anticipated during the development of the Fiscal Year 2016 budget. Therefore, a budget resolution will be prepared for Board consideration after execution of the agreement.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(1).
