Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the time only extension to the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the Keystone Road shoulder and resurfacing project.

FDOT financial project no. 436011 1 58 01, County PID no. 001769A.

Summary:

The County requested and FDOT granted a six (6) month time only extension to the subject LAP agreement due to delays caused by unsuitable subsurface material causing a pipe structure to not be properly supported.  Additional geotechnical investigation is required for an alternative resolution process. 

The FDOT granted a six (6) month time extension to prolong the duration of the LAP agreement from August 15, 2018 to February 15, 2019.

 

Background/Explanation:

The Board of County Commissioners approved this grant on March 7, 2017 to partially fund the Keystone Road shoulder and resurfacing project.  Construction activities commenced on August 7, 2017.  The project is substantially complete with the exception of additional geotechnical investigation work that is necessary for an alternative resolution process.
