Summary:
This Amendment extends the contract completion date until December 31, 2018 to allow final payment to be made to Golden Generations.
Background/Explanation:
Golden Generations is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate educational, career, housing and personal development opportunities for youth and seniors in the St. Petersburg community. Specifically, My Sistah’s Place provides housing, job training, money management skills and emotional support for females between 18 and 21 years old who have aged out of foster care.
Funds under this agreement paid for mortgage costs and renovations to convert a garage area into usable housing space. These activities were completed. A ten-year land use agreement has also been executed with Golden Generations.
Fiscal Impact:
The Golden Generations Funding Agreement authorized $100,000.00 from the $7.1 million British Petroleum Settlement Funds for My Sistah’s Place. Golden Generations has received payment for $90,842.57, to date. This Amendment will authorize a time extension for Golden Generations to invoice Pinellas County for the remaining $9,157.43 in the contract.
