Approval and execution by the Department Director of the First Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a partnership between Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council and Pasco Economic Development Council.
• The Amendment renews the MOU for a three-year term.
• Specific responsibilities of each party are outlined in the attached MOU.
• The partnership of this regional trade and investment initiative is referred to as Global Tampa Bay.

Summary:
The MOU identifies general areas of responsibility between Pinellas County Economic Development and the Tampa Bay EDC and Pasco County EDC in providing a quality, regional team approach to help tri-county companies grow their businesses internationally and to market Tampa Bay globally as a top business destination.
Background/Explanation:
Pinellas County Economic Development has been successfully collaborating with the above-noted partners for many years to assist our businesses in increasing their sales through exports. Leveraging partner resources allows us to offer a seamless network of support to businesses and stakeholders in the tri-county region.
