Approval of award of Contract No. 26-0665-ITB to Southern Road & Bridge LLC for the marine construction work order contract in the amount of $8,819,488.00.
• This is a work order contract, where each work order will be a standalone project. The objective is to make repairs/replacements of marine infrastructure including, but not limited to, boat ramps, piers, docks, seawalls, sidewalks, and dune walkovers.
• Two bids were received with an award recommendation to Southern Road & Bridge LLC in the amount of $8,819,488.00 as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with all work to be completed within 540 consecutive calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed.
• The low bid price is a ceiling amount based on illustrative, planned work that may be ordered during the contract term and was found to be properly quantified and materially and mathematically balanced.
• This contract is used on an as-needed basis with no obligation to spend the full amount of the contract or to spend in any given year. Obligation occurs in each case upon issuance of work order assignments (purchase orders). Funding is determined by the individual work order assignment sourced to the agreement. Funding for future years is dependent on approval in the annual County Operating Budget.
Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.
