Background Information:
The CEMP is the countywide disaster plan and provides the overall picture of how the County prepares, responds, recovers, and mitigates. From this plan more specific plans such as standard operating procedures and guidelines are written by agencies to meet responsibilities identified in the CEMP.
Fiscal Impact:
The County receives approximately $300,000 in State and Federal pass through funding on an annual basis for Emergency Management activities. A core requirement of this funding is the creation and maintenance of the State-approved and BCC-adopted CEMP.
