Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Interlocal Agreements with twelve (12) local government agencies for Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services within the County.
• Agreement identifies responsibility between County and participating local agencies as cooperators of the Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services contracts.
• Legistar items 25-1510A and 22-1772A are companion items to the awarded contracts to vendors for cooperative Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services.
• No cost associated with the Interlocal Agreement(s).

Summary:
Interlocal Agreement with twelve local agencies including the Cities of Belleair Beach, Belleair Bluffs, Gulfport, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor, Seminole, St. Pete Beach, and Towns of Belleair, Indian Shores, and Kenneth City. The municipalities will participate in the cooperative Disaster Debris Collection and Removal and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services contracts. This is to ensure compliance with Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide.
Background/Explanation:
The Interlocal Agreement(s) identifies responsibility between the County and participating local municipalities as cooperators of the Disaster Debris Collection and Removal Services and Disaster Debris Monitoring and Management Services contracts. Each agency is individually responsible to seek their own FEMA reimbursements. Exhibits A.1 and A.2 are provided for use by municipalities to enter a contract directly with the County’s contractor(s) as joint participants.
