Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Change Order No. 3 (final) with Creative Contractors, Inc. for the Courts Consolidation Project.
• This design-build contract was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) on November 28, 2017, in the amount of $4,063,708.00 and 330 consecutive calendar days for design and permitting.
• The First Amendment was approved by the Board on June 4, 2019, for a guaranteed maximum price of $55,210,758.00 and duration of 1,059 consecutive calendar days for construction.
• Change Order No. 1 was approved by the Board on July 19, 2022, increasing the contract by $877,342.20 and extending the contract by 1,467 consecutive calendar days.
• Change Order No. 2 was approved the Board on October 15, 2024, to release retainage and extend the term 108 calendar days.
• Change Order No. 3 (final) decreases the contract amount by ($10,273,131.51) resulting from the reconciliation of the direct purchase order process, the owner’s contingency, and project allowances. In addition, the change order increases the date of substantial completion by 122 calendar days for a revised substantial completion date of January 31, 2025.
• Funding for this project is budgeted under the County Justice Center (CJC) Judicial Consolidation Project 001109A, included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Penny for Pinellas.
