Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Third Amendment Term Extension with Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.
• This contract provides Liquid Chlorine One-Ton Cylinders for Pinellas County Utilities (PCU) to disinfect reclaimed water.
• This Third Amendment exercises a twelve (12) month term extension from September 18, 2026, to September 18, 2027 and increases the not-to-exceed contract amount by $200,000.
• On September 19, 2023, the Board approved this contract in the amount of $1,792,000.00 for a twelve (12) month term.
• On June 14, 2024, and May 6, 2025, respectively, the County Administrator approved the First and Second Amendments to the Agreement exercising the first and second 12-month term extensions per the terms of the original contract approved by the Board. There was no increase to the not-to-exceed ceiling related to these extensions.
• This request is budgeted for in the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Budget of PCU in the Water Revenue and Operating Fund and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund. In the event that future fiscal year funding is not available for this agreement, the County maintains the authority to terminate this agreement.
Contract No. 23-0385-ITB increase in the amount of $200,000.00 for a revised total not to exceed expenditure of $4,642,000.00, effective through September 18, 2027.
