Adoption of Resolution renaming Joe’s Creek Greenway Park to Raymond H. Neri Community Park to honor the lifelong commitment of Ray Neri to the Lealman community.

Summary:

Approval will rename the existing Joe’s Creek Greenway Park to Raymond H. Neri Community Park.

 

Background Information:

Ray Neri, who passed away on Jan 3, 2017, was a long-time resident and advocate for the Lealman community. His tireless efforts as a community champion were instrumental in the establishment of the Lealman Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) and the Joe’s Creek Greenway Park. In recognition of his tireless advocacy and service, it is recommended that the Board waive the Honorary Naming Rights policy.
