• This project consists of roadway, traffic, pedestrian, and intersection improvements on 131st Street North, 86th Avenue, and 82nd Avenue North.
• The project will provide increased multimodal safety to motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists; this is a high priority project due to its proximity to schools.
• Three bids were received with award recommendation to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc. in the amount of $5,651,295.28.
• All work is expected to be completed within 435 consecutive calendar days.
• The Small Business Enterprise goal for this project is 11%.
Bid No. 190-0126-CP(PLU); in the amount of $5,651,295.28 based on being the lowest responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications. Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Summary
The proposed project on 131st Street North consists of roadway, traffic, pedestrian, and intersection improvements from 82nd Avenue and 86th Avenue North. The proposed improvements are adjacent to both Seminole High School, Seminole Middle School, Bauder Elementary School, and Career Academies of Seminole in Pinellas County, Florida. This project will provide increased multimodal safety to motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. In addition to the proposed improvements, the existing water main on 131st Street North will also be removed and reconstructed.

The need for roadway, traffic, and pedestrian improvements on 131st Street North, along with improvements to the intersections of 82nd Avenue North and 86th Avenue North, were identified through analysis of crash data, traffic counts, and completion of a preliminary engineering report. The proposed improvements are high priority due to the proximity of schools in the area.

Expenditure not to exceed: $5,651,295.28
This project is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Program, Transportation Function and Intersection programs: 001023A 131st Street North at 82nd Avenue North and 86th Avenue North Intersection Improvements. The water main replacement is budgeted in the Water Renewal and Replacement program: 001023B, 131st Street North and 86th Avenue North Water Main Relocation.
