Summary:
This action will declare a parcel of County-owned land surplus and transfer the parcel to the City by County Deed. The City requested that the County transfer a portion of County-owned property back to the City.
Background Information:
In 1964, the City deeded the parcel to the County (OR Book 1901, Page 107) for right-of-way of Michigan Boulevard. The City has reconstructed that section of Michigan Boulevard and requested that the County deed the property back to the City. The County no longer has a current or future use for this parcel.
Florida Statute §125.38 grants the BCC authority to convey the property to a municipality for a nominal price or otherwise, as long as such property is no longer needed for County purposes.
